FREUND Maschinenfabrik of Germany had showcased its state-of-the-art slaughter and meat cutting technology at the IFFA 2007 exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany during Mai 05-10 in hall 8 booth-No. E 80.
Taking centre stage at the IFFA 2007 were technology and equipment on stunning, stimulation, cutters for legs, horns and heads, rectum cutting, dehiding, breastbone and carcase splitters, primal-breaking, meat & bone cutting saws and shears as well as all corresponding accessories.
FREUND (which is the German word for FRIEND) is a world-leading manufacturer of slaughter tools. He offers a one stop-shop for a complete range of products for slaughtering and meat cutting for small sized butcheries up to industrial plants.

- Iceland: NOKK ehf is new exclusive distributor
During the Anuga FoodTec in Cologne Nokk ehf has been appointed as sole distributor for Iceland. MD Svavar Olafsson has a vast experience in the meat industry.
All FREUND products are serviced by this company.
The cooperation started with the worldwide first introduction of the table version of FREUND ZKM Disc Knife for the primal breaking of lamb. more (=.pdf ZKM lamb primal breaking). In the meantime there are 5 ZKM machines working in major lamb plants in Iceland. The lamb cuts are mainly exported to the United States where the excellent appearance and extended shelf life are appreciated by both the retailers and consumers.
- Turkey: CEMSAN Makina is new exclusive distributor
During the visit of MD Mr. Adnan Lale at the FREUND works in Paderborn an agreement was reached that Cem-San Makina will be the sole agent for FREUND products for the territory of Turkey. Cem-San Makina is the countries most reputated manufacturer of slaughter-equipment. They are also running a nationwide service-program with several field-technicians travelling.
Also they have contracted and finalised a considerable amount of projects in Turkey as well as in the neighboring countries such as Iraq or Azerbeidjan.
